Sweet Mr. Ziggy wasn't even living with us for two weeks when we lost him to complications after soft palate surgery. It was quite a shock, for he was so young and seemed so happy and healthy when we took him to the vet, but he had a lot of damage to his larynx and trachea from years of gasping in air. Even though we only knew him for 12 days, we grew to love the sweet little guy. Zigs fit in so quickly at the Pugdadpad and got along great with PeeWee and Penny. He loved to sit on the back of the couch behind Pugdad Michael and breathe loudly in his ears while he was trying to watch TV! He was a very good boy in the car, too. He'd sit in Pugdad Michael's lap and gaze lovingly up at him. And as you can see from the pictures, Mr. Z was quite the looker! It is such a great loss.
Dear Ziggy, please know that we loved you very much and were only trying to help you. We're sorry that you aren't here with us anymore, but know that Phoebe, Cassie, and Bruno are welcoming you into the family up in Pug Heaven. |
